SIGMON CONSTRUCTION OF RALEIGH, NORTH CAROLINA AWARDED TOP REMODELING FIRM BY TRIANGLE BUSINESS JOURNAL
Raleigh, North Carolina, March 4, 2016 – Sigmon Construction of Raleigh, North Carolina has won “Top Builder Award” by the Triangle Business Journal, the leading business journal in Raleigh and the greater Triangle area. Sigmon is proud to receive the title of “Top Remodeler” at the 2016 Residential Real Estate Awards. The TBJ’s inaugural Residential Real Estate Awards were hosted on February 25 at Preston Wood Country Club in Cary. Sigmon Construction was one of five of the top home building companies in the region honored at the event. Stephen Peed, President of Sigmon Construction, accepted the Top Remodeler award on behalf of Sigmon Construction at the award ceremony.
“Sigmon Construction had a strong 2015 finish.” says Hardin Sigmon, Founder and CEO of Sigmon Construction. “On the residential side, we saw an across the board increase in the number and scope of whole-home renovations, kitchen remodels, sunroom/porch additions and basement remodels. In 2014, most of the jobs we saw were smaller in scale – bath and kitchen remodels. In 2015 the jobs we saw were larger. We had a number of whole-house renovations, second floor additions, master suite additions and extensive kitchen renovations.”
“We also saw a large increase on the commercial side of our business” says Hardin Sigmon. “In 2015 we completed the pool and pool house construction at the Beckanna Apartments, now called Sterling Glenwood Apartments. We began construction on two of our larger projects, 1300 Saint Mary’s and The Shores. 1300 Saint Mary’s is a 39 unit condo project at the corner of Saint Mary’s and Wade Avenue. The condos in this five- story converted office building will include hardwoods, granite, open floor plans, fitness area and a pool. The Shores are townhomes located in the heart of N.C. State University’s Centennial Campus. We recently completed the pool area and are working on the first of five buildings.”
